Overview
This fourth volume in Martha’s Favorite Places series is brought to you by the DAR Museum’s curators and staff and their selective focus on nearly sixty items from the Museum’s treasures is reflective of our American ancestors’ sense of fashion, practicality and needlework artistry. The educational legacy held within its pages hearkens back to a time when clothing was the means through which childhood innocence was preserved, days of mourning were honored and new birth or days of lifelong marital commitment were celebrated. Hardcover, 144 pages; no patterns or instructions are included.
At least 200 years of American history is preserved in the DAR Museum’s costume collection — the majority being donated by DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) members whose family stories add historical and often poignant interest to the individual items.
Order includes book (144 pages) plus two design CDs. Use the photos button, then view larger pictures to see the designs included. Postage to US addresses is included in the price. IF you are outside the US, please ask for an invoice to reflect postage to your country.
